Ride Of Duty (100km) – Ride To Remember (50km) is aimed at raising awareness within our communities that ANZAC was also represented by army cyclist corps.
These cyclists undertook many important roles within their divisions.
They were mounted infantry performing reconnaissance missions, sending messages of intelligence, and acting as scouts a far quicker option than soldiers on foot.
In this current day where cycling has become a major recreational activity and a preferred form of transport in many areas there is very little known about our army cycling corps.
Proceeds from the ride are used for the welfare and benefit of veterans.
